Identifier of the finite-alternative interpretation model used by this type.
CalendarEvidence
CalendarEvidence :: # (opaque)
Explicit finite admissible values for a qualified calendar description. The caller supplies alternatives; no tolerance, distribution or probability is inferred. Exactly one alternative is the actual civil selection. Each selection retains its full preimage, including disconnected fold components. This native model is not an EDTF parser or general interval-reasoning engine.
All alternatives retain the description's calendar and resolution. Components without a qualification must equal the described value unless Whole is qualified. Both uncertain and approximate components may vary only because the caller supplied this model. A model may include the described value.
At most 4096 input alternatives, before deduplication. Construction validates fields and exclusive civil bounds once, then sorts/deduplicates in O(n log n), without zone interpretation or enumeration. Canonical order is local position, not resolved timeline order.
new : QualifiedCalendarValue, List(Value) -> Try(CalendarEvidence, [InconsistentEvidence, TooManyAlternatives, CalendarMismatch(U64), ResolutionMismatch(U64), UnqualifiedComponent({ index : U64, scope : Scope }), CandidateOutOfRange(U64)])
Validate a nonempty list of at most 4096 supplied alternatives, then sort and deduplicate it. Reject calendar/resolution changes, changes to unqualified components, and alternatives whose exclusive civil end cannot be represented. Indexed errors refer to the original input list, starting at zero.
description : CalendarEvidence -> QualifiedCalendarValue
Return the qualified description to which these alternatives apply.
alternatives : CalendarEvidence -> List(Value)
Materialize the canonical alternatives as a caller-owned list, O(n).
Is this one POSIX instant inside the unknown actual selection? Only the point must lie within the rules' validity; no claim about full preimages outside that validity is made. Projection scans at most the transition table. Each subsequent work unit checks one alternative's civil bounds in O(1). Rules, point and model are immutable across resumptions. No coverage list is built. Construction rejects an unrepresentable exclusive civil bound before any query can stop early on sufficient witnesses.
Compare the description and canonical alternatives, preserving model identity rather than comparing only the result of a particular point query.
Hash the description and canonical alternatives consistently with is_eq.
to_inspect : CalendarEvidence -> Str
Summarize the description and alternative count without resolving selections.
Truth : [Definite, Possible, Impossible]
Point membership across admissible alternatives: Definite means all, Possible means some but not all, and Impossible means none.
Work performed by one collect call and either a conclusive truth value or the cursor to resume. Limited does not imply Possible or Impossible.
Query
CalendarEvidence.Query :: # (opaque)
An immutable point query retaining its evidence, zone context and progress. Use collect to examine alternatives under a per-call work budget.
Examine at most max_alternatives additional alternatives. Stop early once both an inclusion and an exclusion witness establish Possible; otherwise return a resumable Limited result until every alternative has been checked.
to_inspect : Query -> Str
Summarize the query point and progress without examining more alternatives.
